TBC Classic Raid Speedrun Leaderboards

What is SpeedKara?

SpeedKara is the community-driven speedrun leaderboard for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic raids. We automatically fetch, validate, and rank raid completion times from WarcraftLogs, covering every TBC raid from Karazhan to Sunwell Plateau. Whether your guild runs the 10-player Karazhan or the 25-player Black Temple, SpeedKara tracks your fastest clear and stacks it against the competition.

Every submitted log is checked against a comprehensive rule set: correct boss kills, required trash mob counts, valid starting points, and fresh instance verification. Only runs that pass all checks appear on the ranked leaderboard. Guilds that reach the top 10 are required to provide video proof so the community can verify the run was legitimate.

How Timing Works

Run time is measured from the first combat event inside the raid instance to the final boss kill. For Karazhan, that means the first trash pull near the entrance through to Prince Malchezaar or Nightbane’s death—whichever comes last. Other raids follow the same principle: first combat to last boss defeated in a single continuous log.

SpeedKara also offers an Adjusted Time ranking that removes unavoidable randomness from the comparison. In Karazhan, the Opera event has a random boss variant (Wizard of Oz, Big Bad Wolf, or Romulo & Julianne) with different roleplay durations. Adjusted time subtracts the actual Opera fight duration and applies a fixed bonus per variant so guilds are compared on execution skill rather than Opera luck.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I submit a run?

Click the “Submit / Check Log” button above, then paste your WarcraftLogs URL or report code. SpeedKara will automatically fetch, validate, and rank your run within seconds. There is no manual upload needed—just make sure your log is publicly visible on WarcraftLogs.

Why is my run marked invalid?

Common reasons include missing required boss kills, not enough trash mobs killed, the log not starting from a valid starting point (e.g. entrance trash), or the instance not being fresh. Use the Check Log tool to see exactly which requirements your run failed.

What raids does SpeedKara support?

SpeedKara supports all seven TBC Classic raids: Karazhan, Zul’Aman, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, and Sunwell Plateau. Each raid has its own leaderboard, rule set, and trash mob requirements. New raids become active as their corresponding content phase launches.

How often are leaderboards updated?

Leaderboards update automatically throughout the day. A background worker continuously processes new logs from WarcraftLogs, so your run typically appears within minutes of the log being uploaded. You can also force an immediate check using the Submit / Check Log tool.
